India sets target to eradicate TB by 2025: PM Modi in ‘Mann Ki Baat’ :- “India has set a target to eradicate tb by 2025. Ni-kshay mitra has taken the leadership of this movement against tb. Thousands of people are adopting tb patients in rural areas. This is the real strength of India. Youth is also contributing to achieve the target of eradicating tb by 2025, ” says pm modi.
India has set a target of eradicating tuberculosis (TB) by 2025 and ‘Ni-kshay Mitra’ has taken the lead in this movement against the disease, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in his monthly radio program ‘Mann ki Baat’ on Sunday.
Ministry of Health and Welfare has launched Pradhan Mantri TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (Ni-kshay Mitra Initiative).
“India has set a target of eradicating TB by 2025. Ni-kshay Mitra has taken the leadership of this movement against TB. Thousands of people are adopting TB patients in rural areas. This is the real strength of India. Youth is also contributing towards achieving the target of eradicating TB by 2025, ” said PM Modi during the 102nd episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’.
Remembering Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, PM Modi said, “Along with the bravery of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, there is much that we can learn from his governance and his management skills. The works done by Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj especially in water management and navy are increasing. the pride of Indian history even today.”
“Even after so many centuries, the fortresses built by him still stand proudly in the middle of the sea,” he added.
Appreciating the efforts of people to revive the river in UP, PM Modi said, “In Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh, people have revived a defunct river. The source of the river is also developing as Amrit Sarovar.”
Elaborating on the theme of this year’s International Day of Yoga, PM Modi said, “The theme of this year’s International Day of Yoga is ‘Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’. This expresses the spirit of yoga that unites and unites us.”
“This time I will conduct a yoga session for the first time at the UN headquarters on the 9th International Day of Yoga,” added the Prime Minister.
International Yoga Day is celebrated on June 21.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday hailed the people of Kutch for facing Cyclone Biparjoy with “full courage and preparedness”, saying the disaster management strength that India has developed over the years has become an “example”.
Cyclone Biparjoy, which originated in the Arabian Sea and swept across India’s west coast, made landfall about 10 km north of Jakhau port in Kutch, Gujarat, on Thursday night.
“The disaster management power that India has developed over the years stands as an example today. Cyclone Biparjoy caused so much havoc in Kutch, but the people of Kutch faced it with full courage and preparedness,” PM Modi said during the speech. (NEITHER)
