01/7 Here are the ingredients you need for kheer
Kheer is a typical Indian dish. Be it a religious festival or any special occasion no celebration is complete without a bowl full of delicious kheer. Here we will discuss six different healthy kheer recipes which you can have without any guilt. To prepare kheer, you need milk. For sweetness, you can take sugar, or sugar alternatives like jaggery, dates and for aroma, you need powdered cardamom seeds. To enrich the kheer, you can add lots of finely chopped dry fruits. 02/7 Oats kheer
Dry roast oats or roast them in ghee and keep it aside. Boil milk and add sugar and cardamom powder to it. Once the milk has boiled properly add the oats to it. Let it simmer for 5 minutes. Garnish it with chopped dry fruits.
03/7 Rice kheer
To a pot add milk and sugar or jaggery. Boil it. Add pre-soaked rice to it and cook it properly. Once the kheer is of desired consistency you can add cardamom powder and chopped dry fruits to this. Let it cool, refrigerate it and have it cold.
04/7 Millet kheer
Wash the millets properly and roast them in ghee. To this add milk and jaggery. Let it cook. When the kheer thickens add cardamom powder and dry fruits to this. Let it cool down and have it as a dessert. You can also have it for breakfast.
05/7 Makhana kheer
In a pot take milk. Add sugar and cardamom powder to this and boil it properly. Once the milk turns aromatic, add makhana to this. Once everything is cooked properly add chopped dry fruits. This is perfect when there is a religious festival in your house and you need to have specific food for that.
06/7 Carrot kheer
Take a few carrots, wash them properly. Now grate them finely and cook them with ghee. Once the carrot starts getting aromatic, add milk, cardamom powder and lots of dry fruits to this. Cook it till the carrots are tender. Now turn off the flame and let it cool. When serving add dry fruits on the top.

07/7 Seviyan kheer
This is one of the most common types of kheer. First, roast the seviyan in ghee and then add milk and jaggery to this. Cook it till the seviyan are properly cooked. Add chopped dry fruits to this.
